This alluring Oriental mask brooch with matching clip earrings is a reproduction of Georges Fouquet's "corsage brooch." It depicts a Chinese mask in enamel, the hair in a faux onyx with twinkling brilliant cut Austrian crystals and freely moving glass" jade" beads. The faux "jade" beads are designed in a beautiful turquoise that will accessorize many color combinations in your wardrobe. The brooch measures 3 3/4" in length and 1 3/4" across. The matching clip earrings, companion piece to the brooch, measures 2 1/8" long by 1 1/8" across. The set is in mint condition set in a brushed rhodium plate. This striking brooch is shown in Sylvie Raulet's book, Art Deco Jewelry," published by Rizzoli, New York, New York. Please note the photos taken from the book that are found in subsequent photos. The workmanship and quality of these ART DECO pieces are superb. Once you've seen the jewelry they produced you'll fall in love with the line. Unfortunately they were in business for just a few years. They no longer produced this fine jewelry due to the prohibitive cost of the technique and of the materials that were used. You, however, now have the opportunity to own this gorgeous ensemble...a unique example of Art Deco design originally done by Georges Fouquet in authentic stones.
