After a 3.5-hour flight from Newark, Michael and I arrived at the airport in Montego Bay, where we were directed to Half Moon's arrival lounge before being escorted by private transfer to the resort. From the moment of our arrival, we experienced the warm hospitality of staff members who go out of their way to please. Our Hibiscus Suite, complete with lovely sitting area and huge bathroom, was luxurious and beautifully decorated. The postcard views from our spacious balcony will remain with me forever. The new Hibiscus pool with swim-up bar was a refreshing and convenient delight. Oh, and those pina coladas! Dining at Half Moon was a treat. Everywhere we went, the food was outstanding, the staff top-notch. Our favorites included Sea Grape Terrace, Il Giardino and the exceptional Sugar Mill located on the gold course. From the many activities offered, I especially enjoyed pedal-boating and the dolphin encounter. Michael got a bit more adventurous, playing golf, scuba diving, cycling and sailing. It was heart-warming to see so many families spending quality time together also engaged in these activities: Children are truly welcomed at Half Moon.
